Too Close And Too Comfortable

This week sees a whirl of social interaction.  Nice, but it’s not what you need

Astrogem Casting for week commencing 30th September 2013

Here we see the whole of the casting packed into the fifth house (Aquarius).  This gives an overall feeling of detachment to your interactions this week but with some powerful influences in the form of Puella and Fortuna Minor.

This is likely to produce some mixed reactions in you emotionally.  For a start, something seems to be stopping you connecting closely with others.  This will seem odd because others will want to connect with you.  They will seem very sociable and amenable to your suggestions (which is a nice change from circumstances recently!)

Smothered in cotton wool

It seems that you are surrounded by warm and potentially loving attention but you feel that it is not quite what you need.  You might almost feel smothered by the kindness and sociability of others.  This may also manifest itself in the potential for a great many social distractions *cough Facebook cough cough*.  Don’t waste your time on trivialities – this isn’t the time.

Sure, it can be lovely to have all the signs and feelings of support from those close to you, but not when you have important work to do.

Hmmm, that’s something you are going to have to think about and justify to yourself.  All this thinking might make you seem a little distracted or withdrawn to others.  There’s no pleasing some people!  Even when you do find your way back to the real world for a while others are likely to think that some of your ways of expressing your feelings are a little eccentric, even if they do get results.

The Flow moves from the two taps at Level 2 in Puella to two taps at Levels 3 and 4 in Fortuna Minor.  This suggests that either through design or intention your focus will shift from all the mental effort you’ve been putting into your projects recently to much more of a physical realisation of your ideas.  The time has come to turn theory into practice.  More particularly, the time has come to turn ideas into results!

‘Alloy’ or ‘oil and water’?

The conjunction is not going to make this easy though.  Conjunctions are interesting aspects in a chart.  Sometimes good, sometimes not so good, they usually represent some kind of mixing of the influences in the house in which they appear.

In this case we have an expanding Flow (generally a good thing) and with a shift from the mental to the physical and in a very creative house (the fifth).  This suggests that any change and adaptation on your part is likely to produce a useful mixture, in the same way that mixing two metals can produce an alloy which is lighter and stronger than either of its parent metals.

All goes well for your creative and social life then, even if others do think you are a little odd in some of the ways you express yourself.  If you are a deeper person and if you have a particular goal in mind at the moment then there is more to the story, however. . .

Take control of your Destiny

While a unique and interesting set of social interactions might be fine for some, there is an interesting development available in the Flow, if you want to explore it.  Adding the geomes gives us Caput Draconis (134), also conjunct in the fifth house, but this is in a Contracting Flow.

Active Transform Caput Draconis (134)

This is a very interesting twist in the story.

While everything can seem to work out in the physical world for you, deep down you can feel that it’s still not right in your gut.  Something about the goal is missing.

Did you jump too soon?  Did you try to paint something beautiful but without all the paints on the palette?  Maybe.  But there is something you can do to rectify that.

Caput Draconis (134) indicates that you need to nurture that hunger.  Keep thinking of the perfect conditions you crave.  Nurse that little emptiness which shows that you know things could be better.  This will do a number of things.

Firstly it keeps your goals alive.  That is you know you shouldn’t settle for second best.  It’s also quite humbling to realise that you don’t have all the answers.  But most importantly, it keeps the Flow alive and attracts new ideas to you from outside.

Of course these still won’t be the complete answers you’ve been looking for.  They will need thinking about.  They may even seem like two steps backwards at first.  But you will know that they feel right and that they are more likely to get you where you need to be.  Listen to them, think about them.  There is no rush, so you don’t need to act on them yet.

And just to plug one final hole as a bonus:  If you take the time to describe why you are still seeking and working towards a higher goal it will help explain some of your wackiness to others.
