Whittling Down

Laetitia + Fortuna Major → Puella (1)
Astrogem Casting for week commencing 25th October 2020

A happy St. Crispin’s Day to you all!

This is great weather to go out to Touch the Hair of the Goddess. And to paraphrase Henry V:

And gentlemen in England now a-bed
Shall think themselves accurs’d they were not here,
And hold their manhoods cheap whiles any speaks
That ‘Touched the Hair of the Goddess’ upon Saint Crispin’s day.

(Shakespeare was a very keen reader of this blog… well-known fact. 😊)

Those who have already ‘taken the leap’ this year include Sam C. in France:

and Jess S. in the US.:

Thank you both for the connection and for sending in your photos. Good luck to all the others who are currently out a-leaping for leaves!

Laetitia in the fifth house (Aquarius) invites you to see what is possible this week. Given that the aspect between the geomes is a trine, Air is the dominant element in the Casting. This means that we will be looking beyond the physical world towards the mental and the spiritual. It also means that this looking will be with your mind’s eye. Flow can also help you to see things in beautiful detail, too.

You are likely to find that the first part of the week allows you to see how to be convincing in your ideas. It is likely, too, that you will start this process by thinking about how you can connect your thoughts with those of others. That is likely to be very fruitful in generating many ideas. But these ideas need to be whittled down to reach the minds and souls you want to reach. You need to find the imaginative and inspiring thoughts which will truly connect.

Fortuna Major in the ninth house (Gemini) shows that the best way to narrow down your ideas and make them resonate with others is by appealing to higher nature. This means, finding elements that all have in common. This involves taking all those possible approaches available to you and then to begin sifting for those that are truly inspiring because of common connection.

You will be able to spot these ideas because they can be stated simply and purely. They can also be communicated easily. Look for ideas with streaks of (metaphorical) gold in them! They should fire the imagination and inspire new thoughts in others.

The Pars Neptunii is also in the ninth house (Gemini) showing that generating ideas is nothing new to you. But on their own new ideas will not be enough. Ideas need to shine. Therefore, take the ideas and be ruthless. Ignore what seems just cool or clever. Pare down until you reach that fire which lights the fire in others’ hearts and minds.

Take control of your Destiny

The Active Transform this week is Puella (1) in the first house (Libra). You will know when you have found the right approach when everything comes together as a satisfying whole. But there’s more.

What you thought you were doing with, and for, others also—suddenly—includes you.

While you thought you were working to the betterment of others you can find yourself suddenly at home in that bigger vision…

…And the mind opens.
