This coming Thursday is Ostera, the Spring Equinox. I will be performing the water-gifting to a tree in the garden to mark the occasion. I feel it is a way of connecting with nature and, in a small way, helping the season’s growth.
Cauda Draconis in the 12th house (Aquarius) gives the first indication that ‘surprise’ is the theme of the week. That will still be the case even if you know surprise is coming! Here it represents a concern that has been bubbling away at the back of your mind that suddenly pops up for attention.
Perhaps you need to get rid of some old ways of thinking even though there may be some resistance to letting them go. What may be surprising is to realise that you can let go of stuff that no longer serves you. A second surprising thing is how quickly this realisation comes upon you. One minute you’re working along quite happily and the next you’re thinking ‘wait a minute, why on earth am I doing this? What’s the actual benefit here?’. What has brought this about? It’s likely some new avenue of thought and you get a new context for what’s going on. So what should you do?
Via in the 5th house (Cancer) is in its natural sign and provides a powerful influence. Well, surprise number 2 is that the way forward can take a number of forms.
First you may find a small amount of new money coming your way. You may find it useful to nurture any artistic tendency you have. This is also a time to express your emotional ideas, especially the ones just mentioned that have been bubbling away for some time. You are likely to find that this is an emotionally fulfilling time. Opportunities to make social contacts suddenly appear. This may be a new contact, for example, a new person in your life with whom you experience instant connection.
This placement also indicates good fortune in general: this might be financial good fortune if you dare take a chance. Given that the placement is in Cancer, don’t risk more than you can comfortably afford to lose, however!
Another surprise may be how quickly you can get the tools, people and other resources together to do what needs to be done.
The Pars Draconii is in the 6th house (Leo). Don’t feel that you have to support every worthy cause and every sad case. You will need to judge on clear merit and not purely on emotions.

The Active Transform this week is Tristitia (123) in the 10th house (Sagittarius). This is yet another surprise. In taking the actions you do and grasping opportunities as they present themselves you are likely to find it surprising how well things go! It can be so easy to make changes you may wonder why you didn’t make them before. It’s like throwing all your weight at a door only to find that it swings open easily. You may even find that progress runs away with you.
So why didn’t you do this before? Why did it take so long?
The answer to that is because it wasn’t the right time in Flow.
