As I imagine many of us will be taken up with Yule, Christmas and New Year for the coming couple of weeks this will be the last Casting of the current year. Don’t worry, the Castings will resume on the 7th January 2024.
The Winter solstice occurs at 03:27 Friday, 22 December 2023. As usual I invite anyone who would like to take part in ‘Last and First’ to take a photograph of the moment of the last sunset on Thursday evening and the first photograph of the first sunrise of the new Solar year on Friday morning. If you send them to me I’ll share the photographs here on the blog as soon as they are in.

Albus in the 11th house (Libra) indicates that you will need to take a wise, balanced (and possibly even artistic?) view so that your long-term goals can be reached. It is also a very good sign that the prospects of success for your projects are high.
Old friends and mentors will be able to assist you if they understand your true hopes, dreams and motivations. This might be a good time to open up to them if you haven’t already done so.
Curiously, you might find a visit or connection to an old institution to be of value to you.
Caput Draconis suggests that later in the week is a time for great inspiration and starting forward on new ideas. (All the focus is passing through the Ascendent and Level 1 of the geome. That, combined with the solstice, is a very powerful combination!)
New thoughts will become available for how and when to move forward next. These are not just ideas but actual insight which will allow your enthusiasm levels to rise significantly. Doors are opening.
Take control of your Destiny
The Active Transform is Aquisitio (3) in the 3rd house (Aquarius). Again, the signs here are very positive and show a great opportunity to move forward and to go after what is on offer. Again there is emphasis on being very clear in what you communicate in order to ensure that your intentions are known.
The Pars Mercurii is also in the 3rd house (Aquarius) and brings a note of caution. Just because something can be done (or changed) it doesn’t mean that it should be. The key will be to select the right, appropriate and relevant from among the options available to you. Choose wisely and well.
The changes you want to make need to be communicated through inspired action—possibly from the inspiration you get earlier in the week. These are the components of Flow arriving just at the right time and slotting into place.
Allow yourself to be the conduit for inspiration for yourself and others.
