Gently Does It

Laetitia + Caput Draconis → Via (1)
Astrogem Casting for week commencing 7th January 2024

Happy New Year to you! I wish you health, prosperity and success in all your ventures in the coming year.

Laetitia in the 8th house (Leo) indicates that at the start of the week you will be more likely to act on impulse rather than on ‘heavy thinking’. The sextile aspect indicates that this is therefore likely to be quite a happy time. It also suggests that you are likely to be drawn to drama and excitement (for entertainment). Children and their needs are also likely to play a part in your calculations this week. They are likely to push you to be more carefree in your approach, both empathically and in terms of the fun-loving ways you express yourself.

You are therefore also likely to be in, or to create, a warm and good-hearted environment.

Given that later in the week you are likely to need to make some important decisions or changes you will need to ensure that your desire for fun doesn’t get in your way when things turn more serious.

The Pars Neptunii in the 3rd house (Pisces) reinforces this and indicates that you will need to confront any changes to your plans full on and with firm resolve if you are to carry the day. It does suggest though that you shouldn’t go too far the other way and get too bogged down in detail. In other words, don’t let the pendulum swing too far in the other direction and start overthinking things. Keep to content rather than process.

Caput Draconis is in the 10th house (Libra) and will help you get this balance right. More importantly, it indicates that you will benefit from getting some additional input this week to help you with your thinking. Specifically, you will find it helpful to get other people’s ideas to help you make a decision.

To do this in the best way (and bearing in mind the Pars commentary above) it will help to discuss things with them only ‘in general’ or ‘in principle’. The reason for this is that you will benefit from their general approach to things rather than asking them to solve a specific problem. Approaching things in this way will give you a much broader creative range to draw on.

For example, if you were to ask someone ‘Which restaurant should we go to?’ you would get a very specific answer (which is not what you’ll be looking for). A much better general question to ask would be ‘What should we do tonight?’. This will produce a much wider range of possible results. These might include a restaurant but also additional answers that you might not have considered, such as a film. Taking this approach you will benefit more from the breadth and creativity of answers.

Take control of your Destiny

The Active Transform this week is Via (1) in the 12th house (Sagittarius). This indicates that your direction in Flow (and the likely best way forward in the decision you are facing) will not initially be obvious. You will find that it is best to take a ‘gently does it’ approach: Mediation or the times of falling asleep and waking up when you are not consciously focussing hard on the issues are times when the answer can come to you.
