Astrogem Casting for week commencing 9th December 2013
The purpose of and Astrogem reading is usually to put you back in charge of the situations and events around you, as much as possible. It is better to take control than to simply use it to explain – or explain away – what is happening to you and around you.
This week sees a square between Puer in the tenth house (Leo) and Caput Draconis in the first (Scorpio). Squares are often about pruning. In other words, an opportunity to re-evaluate, review and see what is and is not working.
Now these cosmic pruning shears are very sharp and if you are not careful they will cut you as much as the wood they are meant to work on. With that in mind, keep your focus and use them to your advantage to give you a critical look at where best to apply your energy this week.
Rethinking your home
Puer in the tenth suggests that you have been putting a lot of time and effort into getting things right in the outside world. Have you been putting in time and effort to how people see you? Have you been working at making your Leo territory more to your liking? It’s important to be seen by others in the right way but the external Leonine influence needs to be applied to some inner needs now.
As the Flow shifts this week to Caput Draconis’s external influence in the first house you are likely to see your thoughts about others and how you should interact with them changing.
Given the readings of the past few weeks, this would seem to be a reflective time for many of us, reconsidering our position and actions in life. That’s no bad thing, of course. We need to know that we are applying our efforts in the best way for best yield of our time.
So Caput Draconis is suggesting that you go deeper than just how you are seen by others. It wants you to think about your place in the world. Even if you are sure of your path in life this is an opportunity to listen to your deeper feelings. It’s an opportunity to check (with Scorpio’s help) if there is anything taking up too much of your physical energy (the two taps in Puer) when your time and effort would be better spent in other areas of your development (two taps in Caput Draconis).
Take control of your Destiny
Adding the geomes gives us Active Transform Amissio (124) in the fourth house (Aquarius):

This shows us that the Flow is now changing to our thoughts of inner security. It is suggesting that we stop focusing on our external home and concentrate more on our inner home. The square aspect continues but this time with an Expanding Flow. This is good news as it will open up the gates for us to think more clearly and to test new ideas of ways of working.
How do we do this?
Take the two taps at the top of Caput Draconis and suck out all the intuition and imagination you can from it!
Check in your gut to confirm that you are making the right choices to make you feel secure at the moment (single new tap at the top of Amissio (124)). You need to be sure that you are working on the right things at the moment (squares can indicate that you have been questioning that for a little while). Feel the Flow, test it with your intuition, check to see whether any decision, path or action makes you feel more secure at a fundamental level.
If it is the right thing to do then you should feel both new ideas springing up (two new taps at Level 2) and new ways to get what you want at home (two new taps at Level 4).
Your intuition will reveal this objectively and unemotionally. It will be a flash or gut instinct of certainty. If it doesn’t feel solid and or immediately seem like the right thing to do you might want to look for more options.
