It’s a while since we’ve had an opposition and this one looks as if it could be very useful. The thing with oppositions is that the challenge they present very often provides the opportunity for growth. This is likely to be enhanced by the tide reaching the node of the Equinox this week.
Via in the fifth house (Cancer) shows that emotions will be given full play this week. If you are lucky these will revolve around new love and friendship. Generally however you are likely to find a new phase in your emotions — new emotions and the beginning of a new and heady time in relationships and how they are expressed. As always with the fifth house you’re likely to find the element of chance will play its part too, so look out for that.
The Pars Luna gives us our first indication of some of the tensions present in your emotions this week. It shows that for some reason you are seeking the ideal in a partner or working relationship. Given the subtle nature of emotions generally it may be that you are pushing for an ideal that you don’t know exists. Can you push too hard with so little hope?
Cauda Draconis in the 11th house (Capricorn) provides the counterpoint to this later in the week. This is the anvil on which you feel your emotions are being hammered. This placement suggests an image of parents forbidding your young love from meeting with the object of its desire. It is old associations which pull you back. It is the feeling of wanting to break free but not daring to do so.
Naturally with the tempestuous emotions you feel this will not go down very well with you. As the week progresses you could easily find yourself switching between feeling frustrated longing and hopeless ardent desire! (Very dramatic!) But it is in this way that you are provided with a spur to find a new way to do what needs to be done.
The Pars Luna may exert a secondary influence here too, in insisting that you fulfil your duties and obligations… But your mind and heart are elsewhere.
Take control of your Destiny
The Active Transform this week is Tristitia (1234) back in the fifth house (Cancer). This is what unlocks the final part of the Casting… It shows that your solution is to be found in the nature of the problem itself.
You see, what Flow favours at this time is not the achievement of your goal, but how you choose to go about it. You may wish for your heart’s desire, but what are you prepared to do to get it?
It is as if Romeo wants to secure his Juliet but it is the love letters, songs and poems he creates which are the real objective and purpose of these times – not meeting up with his loved one! (That said, if your circumstances are in actual pursuit of a loved one you are likely to find sudden surprises and developments in that area!) In areas of speculation, sudden gains and losses should be expected. In breaking new ground socially you may finally begin to understand your feeling and the feelings of others.
At its highest manifestation, however, it is the struggling artist in his garret who dreams of the fruits of his labour, when what Flow favours is the creation of the labour. While this produces hard circumstances in practical terms it can produce an intensely creative and impossibly romantic yearning for the object of your longing.
It is as if the method by which your emotions are expressed is more important than the goal itself, at least for the moment. It is the torturing of the emotions which raises you higher to produce your best work. Without the goal and without the frustration there would be no elevation of your heart, mind and effort.
The emotional message results in creative output.
The object you seek becomes the prompt for the roller-coaster of emotions to produce great work!
