Astrogem Casting for week commencing 1st December 2013
At high tide things get quiet in a noisy kind of way.
The waves have been getting higher and stronger in your life for a little while now. But the tide is about to change. There will be a moment at the peak of the tide when waves are sloshing about wildly, but they will be about to turn around and start marching out again. Populus in its natural sign of Cancer gives the casting a very oceanic feel this week.
You’ve been very busy lately. You’ve been travelling a lot, even if just in your mind (Populus in the ninth). The result of this is that there are lots of new ideas which need thinking about more deeply. You have all you need for the moment and it’s time to make sense of – and to consolidate – what you have been working on.
Populus – the full Moon – is concerned with groups of people. Think of it as having a party. This is the moment when your house is full. At some point you have to close the door on any more party guests and just enjoy the friends and situations you have around you. You have everything you really need for the moment.
This is that time.
Enjoy what you have, what you know and who is around you.
Party people
Soon enough the peak of the party will pass and people will start to think about leaving. This happens when Populus starts to Flow into Carcer. Levels 1 and 4, the external mental and physical worlds start to collapse down leaving just Levels 2 and 3 active.
That will be the time you can think about the lessons you have learned and what true knowledge you can take away with you.
You don’t need to get noticed, you don’t need to worry about how you are seen (tenth house) – all that will be taken care of. This is a time for making time for you.
Specifically you need to consolidate what you’ve been learning recently. This will have the effect of raising your status mentally and spiritually. But only if you take the time right now.
You need to take in, to internalise and to make real your deeper thoughts. You need to let matters settle.
Take control of your Destiny
As the high tide retreats there will be lots of new rock pools for you to investigate. Each pool will have new and interesting things in it. So much to do, so little time!
Active Transform Carcer
Adding any geome to Populus retains the original form of that geome. In this way Populus’s fullness allows you to linger, to think longer, to not make snap-decisions. It lets you get the full lesson, to wring out all the learning, not just the easy to get lessons.
Allow yourself the time to think, and then think again. You will have flashes of insight and think ‘Aha! That’s what I have learned!’. Yes, you will have understood, but will you have learned all you can? There will probably be still more to learn from the same lesson!
Take time. Carcer is telling you to wait. There is more significance to be found yet.
You’ve already paid the price for the lesson.
